The global site for cruising sailors

Noonsite aims to provide a one-stop website featuring essential information on all matters of interest to sailors planning an offshore voyage anywhere in the world, whether already underway or still in the preparatory stages

Noonsite Reader Survey: Please tell us what you think about noonsite.com via our online reader survey.

Most popular pages: The Noonsite Piracy pages are the most visited, with up to date reports on incidents around the world, suggestions and services for improving security as well as a place for making contacts with other sailors planning the Red Sea transit.

Noonsite is the culmination of Jimmy Cornell's books; work on the global cruising scene for the last quarter of a century and a distillation of his best-selling books World Cruising Handbook and World Cruising Routes.

Countries : All cruising destinations are covered (currently 194 countries and 1963 ports) with information on clearance formalities, visa requirements, fees, weather, special events and other facts needed by visiting sailors. Also featured are details of repair facilities as well as marine and shore services for every major port visited by cruising boats.

Text version : A low bandwidth version for access over slow links. All material on noonsite can also be retrieved by email. Send a blank message to text-help@noonsite.com for instructions on how to use this service.

Sponsors All reputable companies providing services to yachts are listed on Noonsite for free. Companies that would like a more prominent entry on Noonsite, with the chance to provide more detail about their services, even their own Noonsite webpage, can take out an annual sponsorship.

Noonsite's main objective is to provide cruising sailors with comprehensive information regarding essential marine facilities in any port visited by yachts. Basic details of specialist companies are listed so that sailors may contact those that they are interested in. Companies listed are not necessarily recommended by noonsite and noonsite declines any responsibility for unsatisfactory services provided by any company listed on this website. Unfavourable reports on such companies may result in their removal from the site.

Contributions : Visitors are urged to bring any news or changes to the attention of the site manager. All contributions will be personally acknowledged. Cruising sailors who wish to contribute on a regular basis should contact us for details.
